Our Impact

DUCFS is Europe’s largest and most profitable student-led charity event. We believe fashion and creativity can be a force for good, and we bring Durham students together to make a lasting difference in the North East of England.

Charity is at the heart of everything we do. Each year, our mission is to raise as much as we can for our charity partner and for DUCFS Launchpad, our creative outreach platform.

That money comes from several sources: tickets to the show in February and to our events throughout the year, the auction and raffle on show nights, our financial partners, and personal fundraising by our exec team, models and ambassadors.

Last year, all of this came together to raise over £232,000 for Marie Curie and DUCFS Launchpad. That money funded projects with a real, tangible impact across the region:

  • Marie Curie’s North East Clinical Educator

  • DUCFS Launchpad project support for:

    • St Cuthbert’s Hospice

    • RT Projects

    • DJ School
