FASHION

Fashion is the life force of DUCFS.

Our Fashion Team works year-round to make this happen. Starting from the creative vision for each year’s show, the team scouts and approaches designers, builds lasting relationships with them, and curates collections that work together as one story. From the first conversations to fittings, styling and the final walk, every look is shaped with care and attention to detail.

Every year, DUCFS brings together a carefully curated selection of designers from across the UK and beyond, from emerging graduates and independent labels. Each collection is chosen to bring our campaign theme to life, and together they create a runway that is bold, considered and unlike anything else in student fashion.

Fashion is also how we tell our story. Each year’s theme is expressed primarily through the looks on the runway, setting the tone for our campaign shoots, our events and the show itself. This year, DUCFS: THE REVERIE explores the act of escape: the worlds we build in our minds when reality feels insufficient. Our designers are central to bringing that world to life on the runway.

Above all, every collection helps us raise money for our chosen charity. Fashion is what brings people through the doors, and their support is what makes the difference.

We are proud to give designers a platform. For emerging talent especially, DUCFS offers the chance to show their work to an audience of thousands at Europe’s largest student-led charitable event. For our audience, it is an opportunity to discover the next generation of designers before anyone else.

We would be nowhere today without our community of the industry’s inspiring upcoming designers, one of which is pictured below.

Dia Chan (Jinmin Chen) is an independent fashion and accessories designer and the founder of Diaflux, based in London. A graduate of the Royal College of Art MA Fashion programme, her practice explores the relationship between the human body, technology and speculative post-human futures. Working across fashion, accessories and 3D-printed structures, Dia combines digital fabrication with experimental forms to create pieces that sit between garment, object and wearable sculpture. Her work often explores themes of memory, frequency, perception and the evolving boundaries of the body.

“It was a pleasure to have my work featured in DUCFS 2026. Seeing the pieces come to life on the runway and become part of a wider creative and charitable project was a really meaningful experience. I’m grateful to the DUCFS team for including my work and giving emerging designers a platform to present their practice to a new audience.”
